Jacqueline is a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, and Registered Massage Therapist. She runs The Art of Rest, a home-based practice focused on relaxation, restoration, and therapeutic care. She also hosts seasonal retreats and community wellness events at her lakeside property.
I'm not a young spring chicken. And for a long time, that felt like it mattered.
I spent years teaching yoga. Private sessions. Corporate classes. I'm also a Reiki practitioner. I run women's retreats and seasonal events in my community. I live on a lake, and people come out for things like yoga and coffee in my yard. It's been a beautiful way to connect with people.
But somewhere along the way, I found something I was super passionate about. Massage therapy. I went back to school for two years. And now, I'm celebrating my first year running my own clinic.

Were there a few frustrating moments during setup? For sure. But honestly, it wasn't anything to do with Noterro. It was more my own anxieties around learning something new.
I'm the type of learner who prefers being taught over doing research on my own. I'm hands-on. So when I had questions, I appreciated that I could reach out and book a support call. The team was helpful. And Lucy, the AI assistant built into the system, has been fantastic for quick questions. Sometimes you just need a jumping off point. You ask, it makes sense, and then you're like, "Oh, here it is."
I'll admit, I'm still learning a lot about Noterro. I'm probably not utilizing the whole thing to its full capacity yet. But the flow is working. People are booking appointments. I'm giving receipts. Things are moving.
The other day, I asked a client for general feedback. Not just about the massage, but about the whole experience.
He said, "Oh, well, it was so easy to book. Like that was great. It was flawless."
That's actually happened twice now. Two different clients, unprompted, complimenting how easy it was to navigate my booking page.
I have older clients. User experience matters to me because it matters to them. If booking is confusing, you lose people before they even get on your table. Knowing that my clients find it simple and intuitive? That's validation.
For me, launching a clinic wasn't just about massage. It was about creating something that reflects how I practice.

I promote relaxation and rest. But I'm also very therapeutic. I want clients to feel taken care of from the moment they find me online.

I also want to set up my seasonal retreats through Noterro. I haven't done that yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Half-day events. Full-day events. Yoga, nourishing food, restorative endings with massage. That's the kind of work I love.
Everything is always sort of happening at once when you run your own practice. But I'm getting there. One step at a time.
