Confirming Appointments

Both Practitioners and Patients can Confirm Appointments. To reduce missed appointments and time spent following up to confirm if they plan to make it, a request to have patients confirm their appointments can be sent. However, if Patients do not confirm their appointments, you, as the Administrator or Practitioner, can confirm the appointment.

Appointment Confirmation For Patients

If you've selected the option to "Remind Patient 1 day before their appointment," the patient will receive an email with a button to confirm their appointment in addition to the reminder. If the Patient confirms their appointment, it will appear on the Calendar and the Dashboard under 'Today's Appointments.'

  1. Click on the Gear Icon.
  2. Click On Template.
  3. Click on Patient notification.
  4. Scroll down to Reminders and Click on Email.
  5. Click on Ask Patients to Confirm their Appointments.

Appointment Confirmation by Admin/Practitioner

If a Patient did not confirm their own appointment, the Admin or Practitioner can confirm the appointment on behalf of the Patient.

  1. Go to the Calendar.
  2. Select the Appointment.
  3. Under the Appointment Details, select Confirmed.
