Adjust Settings to Use Card Option in Square on iPad/iPhone

You may run into instances where you cannot select "Swipe, Tap or Insert Card" on an iPad or iPhone when using Square payment processing, even though you're connected to Square. A setting needs to be switched off on the iPad or iPhone.

Trouble Selecting "Swipe, Tap or Insert Card" on Square

  1. Click on the Gear icon (on your iPad).
  2. Scroll down the page and click on Safari.
  3. Scroll down the page and click on Request Desktop Website.
  4. Ensure the switch is in the Off position for All Websites.
