Managing your Dedicated Phone Number

Clinics on the Max plan can use the Dedicate Phone Number feature. Having a dedicated phone number means that outbound SMS and Voice calls made on behalf of your clinic come from a number not shared with other Noterro clinics. This provides a few benefits, including:

1. Possibility for your business name to appear on the Caller ID.
2. Reduced risk of calls being labelled as spam/fraud by the receiving phone carrier.
3. Patients can add this number to their contacts and have your name appear.
4. They could also do this with a non-dedicated number, but a non-dedicated number is shared with other Noterro clinics. So, if they are Patients at multiple Noterro clinics, this solution can cause confusion.

Requesting a Dedicated Phone Number

1. If you're subscribed to the Max plan and would like a dedicated number, please email support@noterro.com from the Admin email of the clinic it's related to.
2. Include the city in which you want the number registered.

Important Note: Dedicated numbers are not available during a free trial.

Will I Always have this Dedicated Number?

You'll retain this number if you have an active Noterro account on a Max plan. If your clinic expires or is no longer on the Max plan for more than 30 days, the dedicated number is released and may no longer be available.

Can I make calls or send text messages from this number?

No, the dedicated number is only used for Noterro to send Noterro-based messages and phone calls on behalf of your clinic from a dedicated number which is not shared with other Noterro clinics.

Can Patients Call the Dedicated Number Back?

Currently, incoming calls to the dedicated number are not received.

Will the dedicated number be local to my area?

With the exception of US-based clinics, we will register the dedicated number in your local area code where possible. US-based clinics will be registered for a toll-free number.

Important Note: Noterro cannot port an existing business number to use as a dedicated number. The dedicated number is a new number registered within your area code (or toll-free for U.S.), and it does not replace your traditional business phone number.
